Part of the plan for the ceremony day, Friday, was that after the ceremony, we'd hang around for a little while (and hour or two) with all of our friends and family to drink/toast and eat small appetizers before heading off to enjoy the evening to ourselves (before the big party at the winery the following day. By the way- in retrospect? This was GENIUS. It was absolutely the perfect idea for us to split the ceremony and reception and really relax in being married for two seconds before the big party).
Directly after the ceremony, a shot of us- and hey, this is one picture from our camera, not our photographers!
We also spent a little bit of time post-ceremony taking family pictures that we missed pre-ceremony since we didn't see each other. Above- picture of me, Justin and the boys with my family (mom, dad, and brother).
One of us minus the boys. Holy cow my *little* brother is tall. And I am short. Stating the obvious, clearly.
One of Justin's family- mom, dad, Jordan, Steph, and Oliver... minus baby Isla who kept sleeping and sleeping and sleeping....
A shot of us with Justin's mom, Jocelyn and dad, Joe.
I absolutely love this picture of Justin and Joe. They both look like they are playing and laughing and it's how I see them a lot when they are together. Great job, Tara, for capturing this moment!
One of us with the twins- Ryan and Lauren. So cute! Love how Lauren's dress is pretty much the opposite of mine (and no, this was not planned, unless you count last minute planning as "planning"). Also love how sharp Ryan looks in his suit!
Next up? Happy hour food. OH MY GOODNESS. When I asked Justin's mom Jocelyn to help out with the little appetizers on Friday night after the ceremony I had NO IDEA she would do everything she did. Seriously, she went way above and beyond what I ever expected of her. She completely blew us away. She sent me a listing a few days before the wedding of everything she was thinking of making and I kind of blew it off thinking that she was just going to make a couple of the items on there. NOPE. I mean, the spread was just incredible- like we had a gourmet chef on hand. And seriously, how cute are those little spoons?
Another shot- cheeses, mmmm.
Oliver eating- I love this picture of Stephanie and him.
A shot of us and the hikers from Texas (my girlfriend Ashley and her boyfriend Dave).
Talking with my neighbor Cindy and drinking "red bubbles" a red Shiraz champagne we got hooked on a while back. Pretty tasty! (By the way, no, I do not really know what Justin is doing here...)
Drinking champagne, just had a snack, and completely relaxing (or at least it looks like it for this moment).
Oliver eating a cupcake. Sidenote: these cupcakes were OUT OF THIS WORLD. If we hadn't have planned a big, nice dinner later already, I probably would have eaten all 100 of these.
One more shot of the amazing foods/decor that Jocelyn (in the middle of the picture) put together.
Love love love this "ring power" shot of all four of us.
Right before we left we got a couple more family photos. I think here I am being ganged up on and tickled. This is not an uncommon occurrence. At least no one went for my feet!
And a perfect family photo. Love.
And after that, we were off....
