Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.31.2015

The reason Justin and I are both operating on fumes today. Slow, barely circulating fumes....

Why is he naked you ask? Because he was up all night eating then wide awake for the day at 6am. When I tried to ignore him and hold him at 6, he peed all over me. At which point we surrendered.

Owen playing doctor tonight:

I think his diagnosis was sleep! Funny he's been such a joy today. I would love toddlers if every day was like this! But I'm thinking he's just taking pity on poor mom and dad.

In other news, Luke is here! He's a little confused, and in pain (and on lots of pain meds), but we are taking good care of him.  He's a sweetie.

Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.30.2015

This is called baby wearing. Aka: the only way to get anything done when your baby won't nap, won't eat, won't let you put him down. Also called: keeping mom (mildly) sane.

I also know that the ergo is not meant to be a forward wearing carrier. Only option as our other carrier was in the car Justin had. It worked. At least for a few minutes.

Tonight Owen helped us get ready for our new friend Luke to join us for a little while.  Long story that I will explain at a later date but Owen is excited.

Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.29.2015

This was actually from last night but, this is what our evenings now look like (in all the glamour!):

Today we had swimming! Owen is doing great jumping in and going under to get toys with Miss Connie.

Owen the photographer: picture of poppy (and a pretty good one at that!)

And sweet B. Soaked with drool thanks to tooth #2. Growing too fast!

(Shortly after we had massive double meltdowns. Good times!)

Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.28.2015

My greeters when I got home today:

Owen was so excited to show me his new helmet he got today from poppy. It's like a white board helmet he can draw on.

He would grab his helmet and the football and say "football!" Safety first!

Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.27.2015

Bennett today at the gym: naked. It was one of those mornings. We didn't sleep a ton, kids woke up late, I woke up late. Then the nanny was late. Everything was late. I was off on timing of feeding B because everything was late, so I literally had to pull over on the side of the road and nurse him 2.5 seconds after dropping O off. Couldn't get a burp out, but figured he was ok. Lesson: ALWAYS wait for the burp. 10 minutes later on the freeway I hear a large vomit. Super size. He was soaked. I had no gas (and was almost to the gas station) so couldn't turn around and go home. And you're nuts if you thought I was prepared enough today to have extra clothes with me. Fail!

By the time we stopped, B was sleeping. In his pants/shirt covered, no, soaked, in puke. Luckily he didn't get his blanket so I just covered him up in that. And luckily babies r us was close enough to go buy a onsie. Funny story: a while later when I got home I was unloading B and our neighbor popped over to talk. As I am holding him and talking to her, I realize that the car seat is dripping barf on my foot. :Face palm:

After nap this evening- boys cuddling. Before Owen decided to be a testy toddler and go in for 4678954 time outs. Is there a full moon?! I am going to bed on that note! Cheers to a less cray cray day tomorrow.

Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.26.2015

Selfie by Owen, showing off his cool dude hair.

Later, waking up B from his nap....

...with kisses.

Then Oe decided B needed to see his cars race.

B was actually super enthralled. It was pretty cute.

This is the face of a kid who has allowed us just two hours blocks of sleep all dang weekend. He partially had Owen's cold but maybe even more so was that he had a tooth cut through! Just noticed it today. Whoops!

More photos by Owen.

And final shot of the day, credit to Owen. Look at those chunky monkey thighs!

Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.25.2015

Today is poppy's 41st birthday. And here we all are smiling in honor of him. Excuse the tired look....B decided to be up all last night. We are at the tail end of a cold which is super annoying as the kids just got over the flu!

It was 63 degrees outside so after blueberry waffles for breakfast, we headed out to play. Actually Owen played. Poppy washed cars and I weeded.

Owen went to sleep and I hopped on the bike. My view today:

and one more.

For poppy's birthday dinner at tipsy cow, a little burger joint that he loves. We met our friends down there and O was in heaven and ate SO much.

B slept for a while then woke up so grumpy!

All in all it was a good day. Happy birthday poppy, we love you!

Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.24.2015

Today we went on a little adventure to Seattle! It's Justin's birthday weekend so we thought it would be fun. Backpacks and kids attached and we were ready to go!

Big wheel and the sound.

Throwing fish which O thought was awesome (this particular one ended in a guy proposing to his girlfriend so that was cute).

Tea tasting at our favorite tea shop.

 The classic pike place selfie!

We ended our adventure at our favorite sushi place, Japonessa. A little different than when we go on a date, sit at the bar and people watch but still fun! Owen was a good eater even if it was mostly rice. He loved the edamame!

B was not as enthused.

On the way home...guess we wore them out!

Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.23.2015

Mornings with B...just chatting away.

Then covering himself up with blankie.

And then chattering some more. So funny.

And evenings with O. He said he was "modeling."

Striking a pose... He had some skills. Ha!

Daily Owen & Bennett: 1.22.2015

Today was an Owen day for pictures I guess! Realized I did not get any of B. Whoops.

First: the big guy with Miss Collette.

We then headed to swimming and Owen had a blast, of course. Here they are doing "choo choo train" on the wall.

I headed off to an appointment and Justin took the boys home. I guess Owen refused to nap. I got home at 3 and he was awake. I asked him if he wanted to sleep and he kept saying DONE. Ha! So instead we decided to make a Costco run. Why not, right? Could be a total disaster but so could staying at home! Needless to say on the way home at about 4:45pm this happened:

I went off to meet some friends and Justin was stuck with two crabby kids. Either B or O were screaming for the whole 3 hours I was away. Ahhh! Needless to say, Justin was glad I was home!
