Daily Owen & Bennett: 10.23.2014

Today started off with a trip to poppy's work! Owen has always loved it there, and still does.

Today he wanted to do the exercises he saw other people doing. Look at that determined face.

We then headed off to "kick" (aka swimming), which Owen did great at again. B actually didn't sleep through it all today!

Choo choo train wall walk.

We came home, O took a nap, mama rode her bike and just took it easy the rest of the day...including starting our first fire of the season. Later before bath, I caught this gem:

Daily Owen & Bennett: 10.22.2014

After somewhat of a crazy morning, B and I finally got home mid afternoon (O was at Miss Collette's as Justin and I had a early meeting that was not suitable for crazy toddlers). After a conference call, I decided to hop on the bike (I'm slightly obsessed!) Here was my adorable view:

Meanwhile I was a sweaty mess.

After Owen woke up from his nap, we headed to get him. We ended up hanging out a while. Here's O with his "brother" Aaron.

And Bennett got cuddles from Miss Collette...along with a quick snooze.

Once we got home, got the boys a little dinner, then it was bathtime. You know, the nightly ritual. But this time I stuck Bennett in there too for their first bath (of many) together. Didn't last long as I was essentially holding B up (so got a bath of my own), but it was super cute. Love these two turtles.!

Daily Owen & Bennett: 10.21.2014

Today mama and B went to the gym while Owen got to play at Miss Collette's (the first thing he said this morning when he got up was GO! Meabing, go there).

B and I had a blast with poppy and of course Owen had a ball too.

We got home just before naptime and Owen stole my phone. He captured me changing a blowout of Bennett's.

It was so bad it required a new outfit. I had to prop B up to go get one. He was mad because he wanted food! Like 5 minutes ago, lady! Come on, your boobies are my servants!

And then because it still wasn't happening fast enough, the feet started kicking. Of course mean mom thought it was cute, hence the pictures. I hardly ever get any of him grumpy!

After nap, brother cuddles with O rocking his big boy undies (for several hours and no accidents!) AND a couple of pees and one poop in the potty. Yes!

Owen kissing B's heard where he has an owie (aka a gash that Owen caused by chucking a truck at him yesterday. Apparently the remorse came today).

And later, the chunky monkey resting. Can't get enough of his little Buddha rolls.

Daily Owen & Bennett: 10.20.2014

It was a super rainy day here which is always entertaining. And by that I mean long. Loooooong. Trying to entertain the toddler indoors all day? Yuck. If I didn't have the babe and if it wasn't such a down pour, we would have been putting on rain boots. Instead, we played inside all day. Balls, trains, Legos, cooking, and selfies when we got desperate!

Family selfie just before Owen's naptime. Poppy was tired from riding his bike 22 miles to work for the first time today (!!) and I was just tired from the morning...and night. Both kids slept through the night (!!) but of course they have trained me to wake up every 3 hours...and not be able to go back to sleep. B slept from 8:30pm to 4am. Then 4:30-7:30. I will take it!! Hopefully it wasn't a fluke.

After our awkward family photos, Owen got a hold of my camera to take a couple of pictures- a selfie and then a photo of poppy and B. Now we are crashing.... Days like today are days where I doubt myself as a mom. I think that is a different post entirely, which I will write one of these days. We are all a little beat up (B literally as he got hit by Owens truck), but Owen went right to sleep. It may have been because he asked 150000 times today to go to Miss Collette's and I told him we would go right when he woke up tomorrow...but I'm just going to ignore that for now!

Giving in.

For the almost 5 years Justin and I have been together (seriously, 5!) and 6+ years I have known him, he's forever wanted me to cycle. Granted this is coming from a former professional cyclist and to say it's still his passion would be a severe understatement. Needless to say I have always liked running better and haven't given it a fair shot...partly because I haven't had a bike and mostly because I'm just stubborn (don't tell him I said that).

But, I am slightly injured right now with a weird foot thing (not sure what's going on to be totally honest) so I'm taking it easy on the running front, and Justin just finished building me my road bike that has been about 2 years in the making. Yesterday we both wanted to get a workout in but I was a little stuck, and timing was weird since we had people over, then the kids were napping, etc. So, Justin suggested we both ride our bikes on the trainers in the patio. It was 75 degrees and gorgeous, I could get used to my bike, and we'd both get a workout. Sold!

First of all, it felt so weird. Secondly, oh my goodness my legs BURNED. Third, my husband was thrilled to see me on the bike. And lastly, I secretly loved it (don't tell J!) In fact, I liked it so much that my bike and the trainer are now a piece if furniture in our living room, which is slightly madness as I would have freaked if Justin moved his bikes in prior to this. But now I can ride whenever I want! I am excited to get better and get out on the road (what is happening to me?!)

And this is how we made sure baby B was ok while we were riding. Killed so many birds with one stone in that hour! I may not be quite as passionate about this quite yet (in comparison to Justin), and will always love running, but I have to say that I really enjoyed it. Guess even in my old age I can learn new things (ha!)

Daily Owen & Bennett: 10.19.2014

Today was a little Bennett heavy on the photo front! Whoops.

5am poop party!

After waking up we had friends over with their 3 week old for breakfast. Sadly, did not take any photos but it was so fun and he was adorable. And so tiny! Same size as Bennett was but in just 6 weeks Bennett looks like a tanker already. They grow too fast!

After naptime, Owen was excited to see bikes!

And B was excited to try to find his fingers.

And finally, some smiles documented! He's been doing it for a couple weeks now but I keep missing it in photos. Best thing ever....well laughing is pretty great too but we aren't quite there yet.

Daily Owen & Bennett: 10.18.2014

We started the day off by shopping with Oliver as he has homecoming and needed a couple of things. Always an adventure with a toddler (who found a ball that he carried/kicked around the whole store).

After naptime, we went on a little walk. The rain had cleared off, so it was nice to get outside.

Clearly Mr. squishy face really cared...

Later, Owen decided he wanted to go pee in the potty (we've started to reward a bit if he does-effective today- so he wants the treat). As such, he wore his big boy undies all nice. Planes on bottom, cars on top.

B got a bath tonight while O was taking one (J and I tag teaming it!) B loves the bath so this was great news for him!

Daily Owen & Bennett: 10.17.2014

Guess who turned two months old today?! Also: boo hoo. Not sure how time seems to be going faster.

Look at that tummy! So cute, our little Buddha baby.

Of course older brother had to get in a shot. Bennett was like "hey, this is my shoot!"

One month versus two.

And a shot of B at two months compared to Owen at two months (left). I didn't realize how alike they looked until I did these side by side...minus the fact that B is trying to be a sumo wrestler.

Mama and poppy got in a workout and headed to pick up our wine in woodinville (about 6 months overdue). Meanwhile O got to go swimming with Miss Collette as they were at a hotel for a swim party for their kids. Needless to say, he did not want to go home with boring old mom and pops!
