Daily Owen & Bennett: 8.25.2014

Another day, more fun with the boys. We went on another walk today in the woods which Owen loved...and Bennett slept through. 

Daily Owen & Bennett: 8.24.2014

Today we had friends over for breakfast again so Owen and Bennett got to play with Millie (almost 2 months). Then Owen got to go to Miss Collette's to play while Bennett did his first photo shoot with a photographer who wanted some newborn models. Later we all played and then the boys tried to read books with poppy...Owen tried to hold B's hand which B did not love. After a night of horrible sleep (thanks Owen!) it was a relatively successful day navigating with two.

Today was another fun filled day with my boys. We had breakfast on the deck this morning with a couple of friends, cuddled with Mr. B (have to get these in before he's a crazy toddler), and then ventured out for our first walk with the two little boys in tow. It was a pretty short walk since we are both still in recovery a bit- Justin's leg and me from labor- but it felt great to get out and move. Plus the boys seemed to love it! 

Daily Owen & Bennett: 8.22.2014

Today started with Owen and mama playing Legos while poppy napped (since O decided to be awake for several hours last night). We then got dressed and O went to play at Miss Colette's while mama and poppy ran out for a while with Bennett.  We came home, O played (or tried to play) with B, and he fixed this car (little handyman). Meanwhile B pretty much just slept, pooped, and ate. Occasional burp thrown in.

Pretty low key day around here. Lots of baby cuddles, playing with the toddler and a brief short trip out as our first time with two (we survived!) Then poppy and O washed the cars, which of course Owen just loved. 

Daily Owen & Bennett: 8.20.2014

We found a great way to get Owen to cooperate for diaper changes - dual diaper change with Bennett! We also had playmates come visit today- Olivia (2 weeks older than Owen) and Andrew (4 months older than Bennett). It was a little chaotic but so fun. We also had lots of cuddle time (of course), and some playtime outside for the big guy. Nothing too terribly exciting but continuing to adapt to life with two kiddos (and recovery from birth!)

Daily Owen & Bennett: 8.19.2014

Special day today: Owen turned two years old (how?!!) and poppy and mama celebrated three years of marriage. 

A few pictures: the boys last night because I couldn't resist (heart melting), Owen opening his birthday presents (including special visitors from his other family), cuddles and pictures with the littlest boy, and a couple of anniversary pictures because what is most important today is this thing that was established by two little words in 2011: I do. 

And now, look at this amazing life we have created. I couldn't be more happy with my choice of partner in this life and feel even more close and in love now than I did 3 years ago...and that is saying something with the chaos that is our life now! He is my rock and was amazing in labor with Bennett and continues to be as he takes care of us all this week. We aren't out drinking wine or having dinner to celebrate (maybe some other year), but we are at home holding hands (and wanting to sleep), in admiration of our little family and four handsome and incredible young men.
