Daily Owen & Bennett: 7.3.2016

Today we went to our friends annual 4th of July weekend bash in Leavenworth. Kids took short naps on the way over so we were sure it was going to be crazy.... But, it was awesome! They played their little hearts out. We got home around 11pm last night, exhausted but happy. Next year we will camp but couldn't get quite organized to pull it off this year.

Sadly, those were the extent of my pictures.... Suffice it to say, we were having too much fun. Owen made friends who he was running around with, sand volleyball, eating, roasting marshmallows, bonfire...basically the 4th at its finest (a day early).

This is how our morning started: b took a run for it while we were getting him ready for the day. Screw clothes, he had more important things to do!

Justin and Owen went to visit bailey so B and I ran some errands, one of which included the library.

Later: a nice little family bike ride....mom ended up running. Phew!

We flew back home today. Surprisingly, it was a really easy flight despite them not sleeping on the plane and only sleeping 30-45 minutes in the car on the way to the airport. I will take it!

On our way home: tiredness was catching up.

Our first and only rainy day while in the Midwest (minus our thunderstorms in Kentucky). The kids loved playing the the rain. 

Maybe even the big kids liked it, too.
