Daily Owen: 7.4.2014

Independence day version! We had a fun and busy day today. Mama and Oe played this morning while poppy worked a couple of hours. Then O napped and the fun began when he woke up. We headed to our friends house in Bothell where he got to play with Allison (5), Emily (3), liv (2), Griff (18mos), Drew (2 mos) and Millie (1 week). Not a dull moment in those few hours! 

Then we headed south to our friends house in Bellevue/Hunts point where Owen had a blast playing basketball and chasing around a dog. We made a quick stop at whole foods to get some quick snacks for the little guy, then headed to our nanny's house in fall city for some more celebration. 

Fall City allows fireworks so it was a little overwhelming/loud for Owen there as it was a block party and all the big kids were setting off fireworks in the culd de sac. By the end, he started to warm up and kept saying "mama, boom!" But, by that point it was 9pm and he was beyond exhausted so we headed home. Quick bath to wash off sunscreen and quick bowl of oatmeal to help with the hunger (fireworks were too much so he wouldn't eat), and he was off to bed. It now sounds like World War 4 at our house and he has not made one peep...clear sign of a fun and successful day! Happy 4th!
