This was Owen's third plane ride and once again he handled it like a champ! He ate, slept and played with only a couple of whimpers. We couldn't have been happier.
Owen asleep on the plane:
This time around Oliver came with us, too! We were excited to have him with us for the 9 days we planned to be in KC for the holidays.
It was a busy time, but luckily my boys found the time to cuddle and sleep together:
We also got to meet one of Owen's newest buddy's, Stella, who is only a day younger than Owen (born on August 20).
It snowed the first night we were in town and a couple days later, in between eating our weight in cookies, Justin and I made time for a snowy trail run. It was gorgeous!
And not cold at all.... or so Justin said.
On December 23, we had Owen blessed at the church I was raised in by good family friends, one of which was my chemistry teacher in high school. It was an awesome service and Owen did great yet again. Apparently he just stared out at the congregation the entire time. Hilarious. Owen in his blessing outfit (the hat kills me).
And a family shot of us once we got home from church:
On Christmas Eve after playing Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus (again, Owen did great) we came home and Owen watched the train run around the tracks for a while. He loved it. Too bad we don't have one at home for the dreaded tummy time.
Santa came that night for Oliver and Owen! What lucky boys!
The next morning, Christmas morning- Oliver, Justin and I. Owen had enough of this Christmas business so was off napping.
And a shot of my brother, mom, dad, and I.
On Christmas day, Owen's present to us was showing us how he learned to stick out his tongue and belly laugh. It was possibly the cutest thing ever and definitely the best present we could have gotten!
He also really started to roll while we were there. He would really scoot around and try to roll over so he'd get himself in all of these funky positions.
Meeting another new buddy, Jacob, who is two months older than Owen. Jacob is showing Owen how cool it is to sit up. We'll get there eventually! We also met my friend Wish's baby, Brynna, who is 4 months older than Owen.
After a week full of family, friends, and food, we headed back to Seattle. Owen supervised the boarding of the plane.
And finally, we made it back with about 1000 times more stuff than we came with. All in all, it was a fabulous Christmas!!
