Daily Owen & Bennett: 10.28.2015

I let B run around without a diaper on this morning...he loves it and is ridiculously impossible to change. Plus, who doesn't love a cute little baby bum?!

Still stinkin cute in the naked squat... He had just pooped so I wasn't worried. 

Turns out I should have thought about pee. He had peed all over in the above squat and here he is shaking it off the book and looking at the puddle. Mom fail.

Owen and poppy made mini blueberry muffins this morning! Owen ate about 10 of them today and the rest of us weren't far behind. They were delicious! 

And one more of Oe being a goof. He's turning in to quite the funny kiddo.

There have been moments lately when these two have played together nicely. 

It gives me hope that they will be buds after all (with the occasional punch as brothers are still brothers...)

We have started work on what will become these boys' room (was Oliver's room). First up: last ceiling to de-popcorn.

Since we are redoing Oliver's room, we moved out the furniture. The boys are loving their matress fort...

Not a great quality picture, but still awesome: Bennett doing squats with me in the middle of the kitchen. And he was buck naked.

Later: B playing outside. This kid LOVES to be outside. He would never come in if he didn't have to.

We also went to our friends house today to pick up some dog food. Owen loves visiting because he gets to see the horses. Today there was an added bonus: tractor ride!

Justin's car is in the shop because he blew out his tires/rims on a pothole (that was hidden under a pile of leaves...also: bah). So, he's riding his bike to work. Owen decided he wanted to try on poppy's clothes that he laid out for his ride the next morning. The result:

Today we had a birthday party to go to, so Oe and I went shopping. Figured best way to find a present for a 3 year old was to have a 3 year old pick it out!

After the party, we went to a local Seattle restaurant that is one of our old favorites. It's right by our friends house and we had a gift certificate there that we hadn't had a chance to use. So fun! Owen ate literally 75456875 pounds of food. The kid can eat! It's amazing.

B seriously LOVES Luke. Loves him. It is so cute. He wants more than anything to be Lukey's best bud.

Today our excitement was that on the way to bike practice, Justin was turning down a road, and all of a sudden his tire lights started going crazy. He got out and his front tire was totally flat. Tried to drive a little more and then realized the rear was totally flat. 

So, we spent our Friday night watching for tow trucks, watching horses, and watching the sun set. The kids saw all of this and thought it was so cool. We found out that we not only have to replace two tires but also two rims. Bah.:(  Been one thing after another lately...trying to keep our chins up.

We met poppy at the gym today to go to swimming together. Owen insisted he needed to go in to "go workout." Hilarious.

Forgot to get one of Owen today, but here's B: on a drive where he fell asleep 2.5 seconds after we left, after we spent 2.5 HOURS at home trying to get him to sleep. Ahh!

B discovered this evening that he likes ketchup. A lot.

Monday is a school day! When I picked up Oe, he showed me how he does the teeter totter. 

Later, B, O and I built tracks! Well, O and I built them and tried to keep B from destroying them.

The boys and I spent the morning at poppy's bike race! It was over in Seattle, so we got coffee (milk) and headed over there. After walking in 425653 miles with baby strapped to me and toddler in tow, we found a nice lady who pointed us in the right direction (and tried to get me to race. Umm...ha!) 

Luckily the rain held off, too!

These races are so cool. They are fast and fun, with lots of action. 

The cousins came over at night and the kids had a blast wreaking havoc all over the house! (Thus why this is the only picture captured...only dessert slowed them down).
