Daily Owen & Bennett: 10.3.2016

Ok, now THIS was trippy. My dad playing hide and go seek with my boys... who LOVED it. And all of a sudden, it was like deja vu, but I was just a witness and it wasn't me playing as a 4-6-8 year old kid. Like, whoa.

Having a snack on the run at Grandma's in the cozy coop. You know, just because.

Massive backblogging

Pardon the influx of massive back blogging posts... I am almost caught up! I have been having an issue with blogger on my phone after upgrading it to a new software... so got pretty behind. Luckily, I always have photos, so it is pretty easy to catch up once I sit down at a computer. More to come soon to get to current date.

Wedding day! It was a really fun wedding. I think all of us had a blast, and the kids looked adorable in their suits.

Playing games on the lawn with grandma and grandpa (actually B was just fascinated with the flamingos).

With Grandma!

Hey, a picture of us!

And even more of a miracle-- a picture with all four of us, and all kind of smiling (well, B's not, but that's ok)!

Cute little dapper dude running around.

Eating dinner. There were a lot of vegetables. The kids were not fans... but luckily, we brought back up (we thought it was great food!)

Mother/son dance... just for the memory documentation.

The kids had a blast playing around, and we almost died during the best man speech (amazing, by my cousin Pat), when a pink flamingo flew right behind the bride/groom... yep, those were my kids... my aunt and I almost fell on the floor laughing. It was a great time, a beautiful evening... and even better is that my brother (uncle Jon), is happy.

Rehearsal dinner day!

Of course, what trip to KC would be complete without a trip to urgent care? We took B there this morning to have his ears checked out because he was truly a hot mess (actually Justin prompted the trip to urgent care more than I did). He was a-ok, and the doc thought he probably was just being a toddler, maybe need more sleep (YES), and had some allergies (also probably true). At least we were better safe than sorry.

Waiting on the bride and groom to arrive at the restaurant... these kids can spot any motorcycle (mo-mo) from 40000 miles away.

Eating fries at the rehearsal dinner and looking like they own the place. They were pretty cute.

Another beautiful day in Missouri, another golf course. We tried to keep Owen out of everyone's way while the wedding last minute craze was in full force (B was sleeping), so we headed out to the local golf course again, which Owen was thrilled about. We got a screaming online deal at my home course growing up-- something ridiculous like $40 for the 3 of us, plus cart for 18 holes. After 9 holes we asked Owen if he wanted to quit-- nope! The little guy made it all 18 holes. Amazing. So crazy to play with your own kid a course with so many memories of your own when you were (much) younger. Weird stuff, this time thing.

And because B didn't make the course: riding bikes tonight!

What is a trip to Grandma & Grandpa's without a trip to the park?!

After playing at the park, we headed out to play 9 holes of golf with Owen. It was his first time playing a "real" golf course. He was SO excited. He actually did really well, too!

Trip to Kansas City for Jon & Margot's wedding, day 1! Let the exciting times begin.. starting with the flight out.

Both kids woke up bright eyed and ready to ride the bus from the rental car to the airport.

On the plane, both kids crashed (SUCCESS)!

Neither of them slept too long (maybe 1.5 hours), but it was enough that they were not crabs. Here is Owen biding some time playing on my phone... I guess maybe he was taking pictures of his teeth??

This was our first flight where Bennett had his own seat. He was HILARIOUS. At both take off and landing he was totally just gripping both sides of the seat and looking around all wide eyed. Awesome.
