Daily Owen & Bennett: 8.17.2015

Happy birthday, Mr. Bennett Bo! I'm feeling nostalgic, and heartbroken that it's already been a full year. And also: utter disbelief. Excuse me while I shake my head furiously and try to figure that one out. It truly goes by way too fast, and I'm pretty sure B was actually just a newborn 2 days ago. Sigh. And sniff. 

All of that aside, I have to say, I am loving the stage B is in. He's curious and on the go, but isn't quite to the level of full blown toddler tantrums yet. He's mostly just still my sweet baby who can't get enough of exploring this great big world. 

B had a great first birthday....walks and more playtime with grandma and grandpa.

Happiest of birthdays my sweet BB, my mister mister, my little squisher. In so many ways, I'd give everything to relive this past year with you so that I don't forget anything, but I know that the best is yet to come. I can't wait to see where your adventures take you!

Fun, quiet day today after the craze of the party yesterday. Lots of playing with grandma and grandpa!

This evening we had a family gathering at Justin's grandmas house where Owen got to eat more corn on the cob!

Then we headed home to where grandma and grandpa were! Two very happy boys tonight.

As we were loading up stuff, we strapped B in the car to make sure he wasn't getting in trouble. Next thing we know, Owen is driving them...

It was a busy day running around, but we still got to enjoy dinner outside.

Welcome to our last few days that came to a head tonight: 

As if the sickness of the past few weeks wasn't enough, on Sunday our relatively new (2 years old) completely died out of the blue. We woke up, it was making a weird noise and kapoot. I spent about 3.5 hours dealing with it Sunday, then was finally able to get someone out Monday. Compressor is shot, control board shot. Just a freak thing. 

It's under a lowe's warranty and no one from lowes will fix it until September SO, after dealing with it for more and more and more hours and hours, basically they are going to approve us for the replacement cost. To make a long story short, we ended up just going to lowes tonight and buying a new fridge. Basically the same one as our old one. We couldn't really not have a fridge for much longer. We lost a lot of food and nevermind the fact that we are having a birthday party for the boys this weekend. Ahhh! Not our month. We feel like we are a little jinxed right now. Trying to keep perspective in that all this little crap that seems bad could be so much worse.

Saddest part of the whole ordeal: losing a whole freezer of breast milk I pumped. Waaaaah!
